DESIGN FLEXIBLE GLASS FACADES WITH SLIDING SYSTEMS

Designing flush-mounted glass facades with flexible opening and closing are often challenging, especially on the upper floors of a building.

It is hard to find a single system that meets the more demanding structural requirements and combines this with aesthetic aspects and the requisite protection from noise, wind and weather.

The SL 23 sliding system fulfils precisely this requirement.

A transparent, all-glass system, it possesses all the technical features required for optimum use as flexible facade glazing on high-rise buildings and upper floors, such as anti-lift and anti-drop devices.

GLAZING | FITTINGS

Glazing:

  • Glass thicknesses 12 and 15mm toughened safety glass (TSG)/TSG-H with the heat-soak test or up to 16mm laminated safety glass (LSG) with quadruple film.
  • Panes have polished edges on all sides and four drill holes: two at the top, and two at the bottom.

Fittings:

  • Panes held in aluminium profiles with concealed clamping system and additional bonding.
  • Optional driver function when opening the sliding panel.
  • Concealed anti-lift-device at bottom of panel profile.
  • A concealed anti-drop device at top of the panel profile.

RUNNING MECHANISM | SEALING | VENTING | LOCKING SYSTEMS

Running Mechanism:

  • Noise-reduced stainless steel carriages on sealed bearings with two stainless steel track rollers each and low-wear, low-maintenance, bearing surfaces.
  • Bottom-running mechanism.

Sealing & Ventilation:

  • Permanent ventilation and resistance to driving rain thanks to 50mm panel coverage when closed.

Reliable Locking Variant Systems:

  • Locking via slider in bottom panel profile, operated from inside.
  • Simplified self-unlocking mechanism (the second panel unlocks automatically when the first is unlocked).
